About the Tri-State Hot Stove League

About the Hot Stove League

The Tri-State Hot Stove Baseball League is a non-profit organization with over 200 members. We are located in Evansville, Indiana, but have members throughout the United States.  Originally, the group was comprised solely of former professional baseball players, but have since opened our membership to the public.

Our membership includes Don Mattingly, Bob Griese, Andy Benes, Jamey Carroll, Clint Barmes, Marty Amsler, Evansville area high school and college baseball & softball coaches, area businessmen and community leaders.

While our name implies we are solely involved in baseball, that is not the case. We provide financial assistance to youth organizations including baseball, softball, soccer, football, wrestling, basketball and youth ministry athletics. Our Night of Memories has raised over $1,250,000 that we have distributed to over 100 youth organizations.

Our Main Goals

  1. Provide an annual four year partial college scholarship for at least one area high school senior who has shown himself to be an outstanding athlete, student and citizen. View list of our previous scholarship winners.
  2. Provide financial assistance to youth oriented athletic organizations.

Night of Memories

The Night of Memories is the main fundraising event for the Tri-State Hot Stove League. Since 1993, we have raised over one million dollars that has been distributed to youth organizations, contributed to local athletic programs and to help fund our yearly scholarship.
