What We’re About
The Tri-State Hot Stove Baseball League is a non-profit organization with over 200 members. We are located in Evansville, IN but have members throughout the United States. Originally, the group was comprised solely of former professional baseball players, but have since opened our membership to the public.
Our membership includes Don Mattingly, Bob Griese, Andy Benes, Jamey Carroll, Clint Barmes, Marty Amsler, Evansville area high school and college baseball & softball coaches, area businessmen and community leaders.
Our Main Goals Are:
- Provide an annual four year partial college scholarship for at least one area high school senior who has shown himself to be an outstanding athlete, student and citizen. View list of our previous scholarship winners.
- Provide financial assistance to youth oriented athletic organizations.
While our name implies we are solely involved in baseball, that is not the case. We provide financial assistance to youth organizations including baseball, softball, soccer, football, wrestling, basketball and youth ministry athletics. Our Night of Memories has raised over $1,000,000 the past 12 years that we have distributed to over 100 youth organizations.
