About Us

The Tri-State Hot Stove League is a non-profit organization that provides financial support for local youth athletics and youth focused organizations.

OUR HISTORY
In 1992, originally formed as the Friends of Bosse Field, this group of former baseball professionals wanted to ensure the history of Bosse Field would not be forgotten. This group later turned into the Tri-State Hot Stove League and opened membership to all who share a passion for the game of baseball.

Our Purpose
While much has changed since our origin, one thing is for certain, we are devoted more than ever to see that every child get the opportunity to play the sport they love!

Our Founders

The Tri-State Hot Stove League was the vision of Papa Joe Unfried and Bill McKeon, two former 1956 Evansville Braves professional baseball players, who wished to share and reminisce with other baseball professionals their former exploits while playing baseball.
